THE ELECTRO OPTICAL SIGNAL MODULATION IN HELICAL SINGLE – MODE OPTICAL FIBERS

Abstract

It was shown polarization and faze modulation of fundamental waves in helical single-mode optical fibers in a naked cable due to external electrical fields influence on them. The analysis was made to deduce the possibility of using this effect to foretell an earthquake.
