TEST SIGNALS AND INDICATORS IN THE PROBLEMS OF MATERIAL DISPERSION INVESTIGATION
Abstract
The general problem of establishing the dependencies of the dispersion characteristics of optical signals on their spectral characteristics is formulated. The dispersion properties of signals with a rectangular spectrum are analyzed. The dispersion characteristics of signals of arbitrary shape are proposed. Finite formulas are obtained for determining the dispersive properties of signals with a concentrated spectrum and for signals with a bimodal spectrum. A simple metrological scheme for determining the dispersion characteristics of signals of arbitrary shape is proposed.Downloads
